I have loved photography since my childhood, having received my first camera - a Polaroid – as a gift from my parents when I was in grade school. Moving on from that first camera, I continued to be involved in the hobby over the years, even though at times the camera would be put away for quite some time when other interests or priorities intervened. My interest was rekindled, however, a few years ago when digital photography had advanced enough to begin to rival film and I bought my first digital camera. I enjoy photographing a wide range of subjects, but tend to gravitate toward nature, rural scenes – particularly those depicting the Southern U.S. – and any other unstaged, “found” subjects that catch my eye. I currently shoot exclusively with digital SLR cameras and process and print my work in the “digital darkroom”.
